Value added service in logistics
1. Value Added Logistics (VAL) is the creation of greater added value in the logistics chain. Every transport company can move products from A to B, but it is difficult to stand out in a market full of competition. Therefore, carriers offer an increasing number of services: they not only organize the transport, but also pack, weigh and label the products.
2. Form utility | Place utility | Time utility | Possession utility
3. It refers to the added value of goods through a manufacturing, production or assembly process. For example, the usefulness of form results when raw materials are combined in some predetermined way to make a finished product. The simple process of adding raw materials to produce the soft drink represents a change in the shape of the product that adds value to the product.
